What Participants Can Expect:
- Soft skills sessions presented by Bristol Community College staff that prepare you for on-site employer visits, social media hygiene, resume review, applying for jobs and preparing for an internship.
- On site employer visits to learn about the organization, career opportunities, shadow roles of interest, build relationships.
- A guaranteed paid internship upon completion of the program with one of the organizations.
LSC is building a roster of local hiring organizations to participate with us. Last year’s list included Blount Fine Foods, Vineyard Offshore, Matouk, and Southcoast Health.
All are welcome to apply who meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled full-time in either Bristol Community College or UMass Dartmouth as a sophomore or junior.
- A full-time resident of the south coast with the intention of staying local after graduation.
- A GPA of 2.5+.
Preference is given to 1st generation, veterans and students of color.
When / Where
The program runs from late September to May, one day per month. The 24/25 program schedule is still evolving and dependent on participating hiring organizations. Students will receive support to be excused from class to attend the sessions. Sessions will be held at Bristol Community College and at the employer's location.
