LSC modifies programming in response to COVID-19

To our participants, alumni, and community partners:

We find ourselves in unprecedented times and such times demand unprecedented leadership. The COVID-19 pandemic has turned life as we know it upside down, yet SouthCoast business and civic leaders remain strong, coming together and responding with intention and diligence to ensure our community remains safe and healthy. Like so many local organizations, LSC is making necessary adjustments to its programs and operations in light of COVID-19 to ensure a safe environment for participants and volunteers.

To that end, Class of 2020 program sessions, alumni programming, and all LSC board of directors and standing committee meetings will be held virtually for March and April. Creating opportunities for meaningful social connection and experiential learning is at the heart of what we do. As such, we are proactively communicating with colleagues from other area community leadership programs to discuss ways in which we can utilize technology to maintain high quality programming and other strategies for responding and adapting to this challenging time.

LSC’s growing and diverse alumni network is rich in experience and expertise. So many of our alumni represent the area first responders, healthcare professionals, social services agencies, and businesses at the front lines providing necessary aid to our community. We wish to express our appreciation and admiration for your strength, compassion, and preparedness.

Regular and widespread communication is essential right now. We encourage you to leverage the LSC network and share your important COVID-19 news and updates with us. We’re all in this together!
