Do you presently serve on a board or are you looking to join a board? Do you manage a nonprofit or public entity and need to understand board governance? Join us for a three-part interactive board governance training series.

Facilitated by Linnea Michel, Esq., (LSC ’10) and President/CEO of the Legal Center for Nonprofits, the training will cover fiduciary duties and liability of directors, conflicts of interest, oversight responsibilities, private inurement/benefit continuum, public sector distinctions, open meeting law basics, and more.

Wednesdays: May 24, 31, and June 7. Each session will run from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the Draper conference room at Groundwork! in New Bedford. Register today!

This training is part of Get on Board SouthCoast, an initiative of Leadership SouthCoastLegal Center for Nonprofits, Southcoast Health, and Volunteer SouthCoast to raise awareness about responsible board service and support the board leadership needs in our region. Look for additional resources and events to be offered throughout the year. Visit www.getonboardsouthcoast.org  for more details.
